Privacy Policy
Bench-Work Connect, operated by [Organization name not yet configured]. Effective August 26, 2026.
Bench-Work Connect is an internal tool that lets people at [Organization name not yet configured] share the organization's LinkedIn posts to their own LinkedIn feed. This policy explains what it collects, why, and how to end it. It is not a public product and is not offered to anyone outside [Organization name not yet configured].
What we collect
When you connect your LinkedIn account, LinkedIn gives us:
- Your LinkedIn member identifier, name, and profile picture.
- Your email address, as registered with LinkedIn.
- An access token that permits this application to publish a post as you.
We also record which posts you shared and when, so the organization can measure whether the program is working.
What we do not collect
- Your LinkedIn password. We never see it; authorization happens on LinkedIn.
- Your connections, contacts, or network.
- Your LinkedIn messages or InMail.
- Your feed, or anyone else's posts and activity.
- Anything about people who have not connected their own account.
How we use it
The access token is used for exactly one purpose: to publish a post to your LinkedIn feed at the moment you click Share. Your name and email are used to identify you within the tool and to send you the notifications you have opted into. We use no data for advertising, and we do not sell, rent, or trade it.
Who we share it with
Nobody. Data stays within [Organization name not yet configured] and the infrastructure providers that host this application. It is not sold, licensed, or disclosed to third parties, except where [Organization name not yet configured] is legally required to disclose it.
Where it lives and how long
Data is held in an access-controlled database operated for [Organization name not yet configured]. Access tokens are encrypted at rest. LinkedIn access tokens expire on LinkedIn's own schedule and are deleted once they expire or are revoked. Sharing history is retained while the program runs and is deleted on request.
Ending it
You can disconnect at any time, by either route:
- In LinkedIn, go to Settings & Privacy → Data privacy → Other applications → Permitted services and remove this application. That revokes our token immediately.
- Or write to smcelligott@sgtlaw.com and ask to be removed. We will delete your token and your record.
Either way, Bench-Work Connect loses the ability to post as you. Posts already published to your feed remain yours — you can delete them on LinkedIn like any other post.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, we will update the effective date above and notify connected users by email.
